Last week, the federal Small Business Administration released details on thousands of companies that received money through the Paycheck Protection Program as part of the government's effort to help businesses survive the pandemic.
The program, approved by Congress in March, provides forgivable loans to companies with 500 or fewer employees to help them keep workers on the payroll they would otherwise have to lay off due to a downturn in business.
Below is a list of more than 650 companies that received at least $150,000 and are located either in the 7th Congressional District or a county bordering Greene County.
This list does not include companies that listed themselves as based in Springfield. A list of Springfield companies is available here.
